A Little Old-Fashioned Fun

We made ribbon barrettes! If you grew up in the 70's, you remember these fun, colorful baubles.

They're so simple to make. Just buy the bar barrettes (Goody makes them and sells them at various Targets and Walmarts). Choose your ribbon colors; cut 18" lengths of each and tie together at one end.

Tuck up under the top enclosure and alternate weaving the ribbons around and through the middle.

Simply tie it off at the end in a double knot,
add beads to the ends,
and proudly wear your new fashionable barrettes, custom made to coordinate with your outfits.

While we crafted. I shared stories of my childhood with the girls. What precious time together.
